If your home is listed on your local Multiple Listing Service (MLS) or another website you ARE having an open house each and every day. I know that many sellers are concerned about having an open house the first week/weekend that the home hits the market. But let’s face it – open houses are local and I want to make certain that my clients’ homes are seen by the widest audience possible. And while open houses can be an effective tool, it is more important that your virtual open house showcase your home to the widest audience possible.
To ensure that your home shows well on-line make certain that the Realtor you hire has professional looking photos and that the listing includes detailed/accurate information on the home’s layout and room sizes, the homes’ amenities/features, and an appropriate description without flowery language that does not add value. First impressions are important and listings that do not show well will be ruled out by buyers without you even knowing that someone has chosen not to visit your home.
